Geoff Bellingan

Medical Director, Cancer & Surgery Board

Geoff is a Consultant in Intensive Care at UCLH and Professor Intensive Care Medicine at UCL. He has been Medical Director of the Surgery and Cancer Board at UCLH since 2009. UCLH and UCL work very closely together and have a major focus on cancer: hosting, along with the Christie in Manchester, the National Proton Beam facility; they have one of Europe’s largest haemoncology centres with exceptional outcomes against international standards; are a major cancer academic centre being part of the City of London CRUK Major Centre and hosting the Radnet program and having a major Biomedical Research Centre funding and have a very large trials portfolio. Geoff is also Senior Responsible Officer for the North Central London Cancer Alliance and has worked closely with all the providers across NCL on the cancer recovery programs post Covid, including the significant work on delivering complex elective cancer surgery during a pandemic.
