HSJ National Cancer Forum

Park Plaza Victoria, London
12 March 2019

The inaugural HSJ National Cancer Forum will bring together core stakeholders from the cancer community
to discuss national policy and how to deliver it at a local level.

In 2015, NHS England embarked on a five-year cancer strategy to achieve world-class cancer outcomes. Now, as one of the most high profile of NHS England’s clinical priorities, cancer will feature significantly in the NHS ten-year plan. The HSJ National Cancer Forum will combine analysis from those responsible for shaping national cancer policy with practical guidance and an exploration of the future of cancer care - from workforce and waiting times, to the potential of AI and genomics.

Key themes will include:

 -  Making the ten-year plan a reality
 -  The future of the cancer workforce
 -  The potential of AI
 - Genomics and personalised medicine
 -  The vital role of primary and community care
 -  Meaningful patient involvement
 -  Cancer waiting time standards

Hear from high profile speakers
Hear analysis from those responsible for shaping national policy and gain practical advice from those who are leading the way in delivering it locally. Discuss the future of cancer care with experts in technology and practice, and find out what matters most to patients themselves.
Who should attend?
The forum will bring together the core stakeholders from the cancer community - in trusts, cancer alliances and national bodies. You will network with people facing the same challenges as you and learn from people who are leading the way in trialling new approaches.
Partnership opportunities
A vital part of the forum will be the input from organisations with solutions to support the delivery of national cancer priorities, and those who wish to drive the national strategy. Demonstrate thought leadership, network with the most senior stakeholders in the cancer community and influence the national and local decision-makers.
