Born and school educated in Forfar, Scotland where I resided until my mid 30’s before relocating to the Lancaster area, where I continue to reside. 

Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Dundee College of Technology) 
Post Grad Diploma in Business Studies (South Bank University) 

I joined Philips Medical Systems (now Philips Healthcare) in 1986 as a service engineer for the installation and servicing of Imaging equipment in hospitals.  After 9 years in this role I transitioned into a Sales role selling the same Imaging Equipment. 

In 2000, I had the opportunity to move to Siemens Medical Solutions (now Siemens Healthineers) in a similar Sales role.  After relocating to the Lancaster area, I had the opportunity to work on a new project for the introduction of a new MR system (the MAGNETOM Avanto).  This project led to an opportunity to transfer into the MR Product team, where I have been since 2004.  In 2016 I had the opportunity to take the role of MR Business Manager. 

As Business Manager for MR, I have responsibility to support the Sales and Service organisation in the presentation, marketing and sales of our products, as well as overseeing the launch of new products and features a s well as the business financials.

What I like about working for Siemens Healthineers 
Teamwork – we are a big organisation, however we work together collaboratively across the business locally within our Great Britain and Ireland Zone.  Additionally, we are an International company the ability to work with our Headquarters in Erlangen, Germany, as well as colleagues in other countries. 

Outside of work 
I enjoy spending time with my family, walking, reading and  following F1, as well as travelling with my partner
